Dr. Folorunso, Ayodeji Adekunle is a seasoned scholar, scientist and university teacher in the Department of Family, Nutrition and Consumer Sciences, faculty of Agriculture, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria.
As a member of the Nutrition Society of Nigeria, his commitment to promoting optimal food utilization and community nutrition has continually spurred him to expand the frontiers of knowledge through advocacy and groundbreaking research.

Research and Academic Work
In a country where one-third of children under five are subjected to stunted growth due to inadequate nutrition, while adults also struggle with a deficiency of micro nutrients, Dr Folorunso stands as a beacon of hope by demonstrating and encouraging the use/consumption of Nigerian local foods to meet the nation’s nutritional needs and solve our nutritional problems. At the heart of his work is a simple and powerful message: “You are what you eat”.

Private Life
Dr Folorunso is blessed to work in an environment that is conducive to productivity and with empowering teams that appreciate his work. When he’s not teaching, writing or conducting research, you can find him engaged in record keeping, computer operation and sporting activities. He is a happy husband and a proud dad.
